6 years agoHouston Rockets guard James Harden exploded for 50 points on 14-for-26 shooting in Thursday's win over the Los Angeles Lakers. Harden also recorded a triple-double, finishing with 10 rebounds and 11 assists. He was 4-for-12 from three and 18-for-19 from the free throw line. Harden, the NBA's scoring leader, now has five games with at least 40 points this season, and with Houston struggling to find offense elsewhere, he could continue to pile up games with point totals above his scoring average. Houston faces Memphis on Saturday, who allow the second-fewest points per game, so don't expect another 50-spot from Harden, though he's still got a safe scoring floor as he's scored below 20 just three times all year.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
