James Harden Sinks 16 Free Throws During 34-Point Outing
5 years agoHouston Rockets point/shooting guard James Harden continued his league-wide scoring barrage during Saturday’s defeat to the Los Angeles Lakers, collecting 34 points on 8-for-20 shooting. Harden continues to rewrite the modern free-throw shooting record book as he finished 16-for-18 from the stripe, now bringing his averages on the year up to 10.7 makes and 12.4 attempts per contest, vastly ahead of any other competition. In addition to the lofty scoring totals, he also added seven assists and six rebounds, delivering an all-around solid fantasy performance by his standards despite being dogged by Los Angeles’ tenacious wing defenders. He next faces Oklahoma City at home Monday, whom he scorched for 40 points back on Oct. 28, the last time that his former squad visited Houston.
