2 years agoUtah Jazz shooting guard Jared Butler had the green light from the tip in Thursday's Summer League defeat to Memphis, as he finished with a game-best 22 points on 8-for-21 shooting overall. Butler hoisted a whopping 15 triples, four of which found the bottom of the net. While he played a team-high 29 minutes, he also chipped in seven boards and a team-leading seven dimes. The path to regular-season playing time for the 21-year-old got massively complicated by the Rudy Gobert trade, which brought Patrick Beverley, Malik Beasley and Leandro Bolmaro to the backcourt mix. For now, Butler will look to continue honing his game in the Summer League, where he appears to have offensive carte blanche.--Jesse Borek
