3 years agoThe Oakland Athletics have called up starting pitcher Jared Koenig and he will make his MLB debut in Wednesday's game against the Atlanta Braves. The team optioned fellow pitcher Zach Logue to Triple-A in a corresponding move. Koenig has made nine appearances (eight starts) at Triple-A this year and he's gone 4-2 with a 2.21 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP while averaging 10.4 K/9. The 28-year-old Koenig isn't someone fantasy managers need to be concerned with at this point, though if he pitches well in a tough matchup on Wednesday, he could have a chance to stick in the rotation.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
