Jaren Jackson Jr. Drills Six Threes In Losing Effort
4 years agoMemphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. was on fire from deep in a tight overtime loss to the Portland Trail Blazers. Jackson Jr made six triples on 15 attempts en route to scoring a team-high 33 points. Portland threw out a lineup of double bigs, featuring Jusuf Nurkic and Hassan Whiteside, benefitting Jackson Jr greatly. Neither of Portland's bigs are great perimeter defenders, which left the 20-year-old open for spot-up opportunities. While he won't pull down a ton of rebounds, his rare mix of three-point shooting and shot-blocking ability makes him an intriguing DFS play when the matchup is right. Jackson Jr makes for a good play on Sunday against the San Antonio Spurs- he has averaged an absurd 5.0 triples per game on 68 percent shooting against them in three meetings this year.
