5 years agoMemphis Grizzlies power forward/center Jaren Jackson Jr. left Saturday’s contest against the Phoenix Suns early due to right knee soreness and does not appear to be set to play Monday versus the Houston Rockets. With rookie Brandon Clarke having contributed a double-double off the bench against the Suns, the team’s first-round pick figures likely to enter the starting five and take over Jackson's role. Jackson played in just 58 games as a rookie last season, and any time knee injuries are mentioned around young players, there’s obvious reason for concern. Keep an update on his status moving forward, but don’t figure him to be involved in the short-term.--Jesse Borek
