Vanderbilt was held out Wednesday due to a left quad contusion, which allowed Jaden McDaniels to slide into the starting five, a role he would likely retain if Vanderbilt remains sidelined. McLaughlin has served as solid backcourt depth off the bench for Minnesota, where his potential absence could funnel additional minutes to Patrick Beverley and D'Angelo Russell.
