5 years agoBrooklyn Nets center Jarrett Allen had the second 20-point, 20-rebound game of his career during Monday’s victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, finishing with 22 points and 21 rebounds across his 34 minutes of action. Without DeAndre Jordan (ankle) available off the bench, Allen was relied upon heavily, answering the call with a 9-for-10 shooting performance, while also adding three assists, two steals and two blocks to his stat line. Should Jordan have any kind of prolonged absence, figure for Allen to continue seeing an increased workload and role in the Brooklyn offense. He next faces the Celtics on Wednesday, who have traditionally kept him corralled to the tune of 7.1 points per game in his career during head-to-head matchups.--Jesse Borek
