4 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves shooting guard/small forward Jarrett Culver (ankle) is facing an extended absence due to a significant ankle sprain, which is likely to keep him on the shelf for at least the next week. Having already been ruled out for Friday's game, Culver can be expected to miss the team's next four contests as well, at minimum. Jake Layman and Jaylen Nowell figure to be the biggest beneficiaries of increased playing time among the second unit, although neither necessarily merits season-long consideration at this stage. Culver can safely be dropped to the wire in the vast majority of formats while he recovers.--Jesse Borek
