6 years agoJason Day put his back problems aside last week at the Players Championship, getting himself into contention before settling for a T8 finish. The Australian gained strokes over the field in every significant strokes gained category for the four days, with his putting being particularly good at Sawgrass. Day gained 4.7 strokes over the field with the flat-stick which undoubtedly spearheaded his challenge last week. Day is making his first appearance at the Valspar this week.--Gianni
