6 years agoLos Angeles Lakers center JaVale McGee had a staggering close to the month of March, putting a bow around his performance with 23 points and 16 rebounds during Sunday’s win over the New Orleans Pelicans. McGee has been as dominant as any player in the league over the past two weeks and figures to continue seeing a similar workload over the final five games with the majority of the Lakers’ traditional starters out of the mix. While his role has fluctuated throughout the year, head coach Luke Walton seems to have no issue handing McGee heavy minutes, looking to take advantage of his 66.7 percent shooting since the All-Star break.--Jesse Borek
