6 years agoLos Angeles Lakers center JaVale McGee's magical season continues, as the big man put up 21 points on 10 of 16 shooting on Thursday night. That gives him back-to-back 20 + points and it’s no fluke. The former NBA champion continues to get easy bucks around the rim with dunks and put-backs, and shows no sign of slowing down as the Lakers are second in pace this season. He was signed by the Lakers on a 1-year deal for only $2.4 million this past season and he'll be looking at a major payday next summer if he continues to play like this. McGee is perfect fit to the current make up of this team. His ability to disrupt shots and finish around the basket will force coach Luke Walton to set career-highs in minutes played this season. Don’t look now, but McGee is flirting with early-round value and he’s quickly becoming one of the best draft day steals. All the big man needs to do is stay healthy.
