5 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans rookie center Jaxson Hayes was pressed into starting duty during Sunday’s win over the Golden State Warriors with both Derrick Favors and Jahlil Okafor absent due to injury. Hayes took his opportunity and ran with it, notching his first career double-double -- 10 points and 10 rebounds -- during his first career appearance among the starting five. Hayes, who has proven to be an adept shot-blocker when given minutes, added three blocks Sunday. Should both Favors and Okafor be absent Tuesday versus Portland, expect Hayes to have a heavy DFS presence as the 19-year-old has put his myriad skills on display early in 2019-20.--Jesse Borek
