6 years agoBoston Celtics shooting guard/small forward Jaylen Brown is listed as doubtful to play in Monday’s contest against the New Orleans Pelicans due to a right lower back bruise suffered during Saturday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks. Brown expressed optimism concerning the injury after the game, but his prospects for suiting up Monday don’t look great. Should he miss the outing against New Orleans, Gordon Hayward could potentially slide back into the starting lineup after a one-game absence. Brown logged 30 minutes and scored 16 points Saturday, appearing to have found a rhythm from the floor, so the injury comes at a less than ideal time.--Jesse Borek
