6 years agoBoston Celtics shooting guard/small forward Jaylen Brown took over offensively during Monday’s loss to the San Antonio Spurs, dropping a season-high 30 points on 10-for-15 shooting off the bench. With Kyrie Irving knocked from the contest due to an eye injury, and Gordon Hayward failing to make a field goal, Brown took matters into his own hands. While the 30-point effort was a late Christmas gift for owners holding onto Brown, his seesaw December finally comes to a close: whereas he had four games of 20 or more points, he had also had six in single digits. He starts January fresh come Wednesday versus the Minnesota Timberwolves.--Jesse Borek
