Jayson Tatum Drops 28 Points On Uber-Efficient Shooting Night
5 years agoBoston Celtics small/power forward Jayson Tatum rebounded from a woeful 2-for-16 shooting performance Friday by collecting a team-high 28 points on 12-for-15 shooting during Saturday’s win over the Chicago Bulls. Tatum’s role in the offense has remained largely unchanged with Kemba Walker out over the previous two games, although he was able to add seven rebounds, two assists, two blocks, two steals and two made triples Saturday, good for one of his best performances of the season. He has now alternated over his last six games between scoring 13 or fewer points or 24 or more points, a further indication of his volatile nature to start 2020. He is in line for a favorable matchup Monday versus a hapless Wizards defense that is yielding a league-high 120.9 points per game, no matter the status of Walker.
