5 years agoBoston Celtics small/power forward Jayson Tatum (illness) has been ruled out for Tuesday’s game versus the Brooklyn Nets. Tatum’s absence, which marks his first missed contest since Jan. 28, coincides with the return of Kemba Walker (knee), which should allow the Celtics to reallocate Tatum’s traditional offensive workload seamlessly. But with Walker on a minutes limit, Gordon Hayward and Jaylen Brown could ultimately end up seeing a slight increase in usage, especially when matched up against the up-tempo Nets. Tatum, who has averaged 34.8 points and 8.8 rebounds over his last six games, is next eligible to suit up Wednesday against Cleveland.--Jesse Borek
