2 years agoThe Tampa Bay Rays have activated left-hander Jeffrey Springs (leg) from the 15-day injured list. He will return to the mound as the team's starting pitcher for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Royals. To clear a roster spot for Springs, right-hander Luis Patino was sent to Triple-A. Springs had been on the injured list since early July with right lower-leg tightness. The 29-year-old has had a fantastic year for the Rays, pitching to a 2.53 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP across 19 outings (11 starts).--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
