6 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves point guard Jerryd Bayless found lightning in a bottle for the second consecutive game during Saturday’s loss to the Denver Nuggets, recording his second straight double-double. With 15 points and 10 assists across 37 minutes, his performance Saturday marks the first time in his 11-year career that he has recorded a double-double in back-to-back outings. Even with Derrick Rose active, Bayless saw the lion’s share of minutes at the point, which could bode well ahead of his match-up with a stingy Memphis defensive squad come Tuesday, so long as Jeff Teague remains sidelined.--Jesse Borek
