7 years agoTexas Rangers relief pitcher Jesse Chavez had a superb outing Friday. Coming in to begin the fourth innings, with the Rangers already down 6-0, he threw five scoreless innings. This is the second time this season that Chavez has gone long to help save the bullpen, having thrown four scoreless against the Tampa Bay Rays. Chavez has now thrown 36 innings this season with a 3.75 ERA and 35 strikeouts compared to just seven walks. Chavez's role means he does not have a huge amount of fantasy value, and his usefulness is limited to AL-only leagues.--Ben Rolfe
