Ji-Man Choi Starting, Daniel Robertson Sitting Wednesday
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays first baseman Ji-Man Choi will make his first start at designated hitter for the Rays on Wednesday. Choi's presence in the lineup means that Daniel Robertson receives a day off, with Joey Wendle at second, C.J. Cron at first and Jake Bauers in left field. Choi does have a history of power against right-handed hitters, having a career .230 ISO against them in 169 plate appearances. The issue for Choi has been his inconsistency, as highlighted by a career .299 wOBA and .196 batting average against right-handed pitchers. Hitting fifth means Choi makes for a tempting low cost DFS option against Jordan Zimmermann on Wednesday.
