4 years agoMiami Heat shooting guard/small forward Jimmy Butler (ankle) departed Friday's victory over the Pelicans during the first half with an ankle injury. Butler was held to just 16 minutes, where he compiled four points on 2-for-7 shooting to go along with six rebounds and five assists. Butler had been dealing with an ankle ailment entering the contest, but the Heat decided to not push it any further, allowing Tyler Herro and Goran Dragic to hold down ball-handling duties. The injury sounds minor, so there's a chance that the lay-off before Tuesday's game against Milwaukee will be enough for Butler to return to action. He averaged 23.4 PPG versus the Bucks in last season's Eastern Conference Semifinals in addition to packing the stat sheet.--Jesse Borek
