6 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves guard Jimmy Butler will sit out Saturday's road meeting with the Dallas Mavericks for "precautionary rest," per a team spokesperson. Butler is averaging 28 points per game for Minnesota through two games this season, but his year has been marred by the preseason trade demands that have made it clear Butler wants out of Minnesota. It's likely this DNP doesn't mean anything in the long run, but at the very least Minnesota sitting Butler in a back-to-back could be a trend to keep an eye on this year.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
