Jo Adell Hits Game-Winning Grand Slam
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Jo Adell hit a ninth-inning grand slam on Tuesday to take a 6-2 lead in the eventual 8-2 win over the Detroit Tigers. It was his only hit of the day, and he struck out once across five at-bats. He now has one home run and is slashing .231/.286/.365 with 10 RBI, five runs, and one stolen base in 14 games. He was hitting very well in Triple-A before his call-up, blasting 23 HRs with a .289 batting average in 73 games. Adell's a good player to stash in dynasty leagues with his power potential but won't offer much in redraft leagues until he can figure out major league pitching.
