Jo Adell Leads Triple-A Hitters With Nine Homers

3 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfield prospect Jo Adell continued to flex his muscles at the Triple-A level with a 2-for-4 day on Sunday that saw him slug two home runs. The 22-year-old now has nine home runs in just 16 games at the level. He leads Triple-A hitters with nine home runs. There are four other batters — Orlando Arcia, Vidal Brujan, Jarren Duran, and Jesus Sanchez — that have seven dingers. Although Adell has been hitting home runs at an elite rate, his lack of consistent contact continues to haunt him. After striking out at a 42% clip in his first taste of MLB action, he was sent back to the minors to further develop his contact skills.
