Joakim Noah Draws First Start In Over Two Years
6 years agoMemphis Grizzlies center Joakim Noah entered the starting five for Friday’s win over the Utah Jazz, collecting seven points, eight rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one massive game-sealing jam over Rudy Gobert in the closing moments. Noah saw 21 minutes, but started alongside Jonas Valanciunas for an uber-tall frontcourt. The start for Noah was his first since Feb. 4, 2017, while with the New York Knicks, having acclimated himself with the Grizzlies off the bench this season. Even if starting is in Noah’s future, his minutes total is the more important number to watch; should that start to tick up, he could be worth the add for the stretch run.
