6 years agoMemphis Grizzlies center Joakim Noah was originally doubtful to play in Saturday’s victory over the New Orleans Pelicans, but he’s likely awfully glad he found his way onto the floor, logging season highs with 19 points and 14 rebounds across 30 minutes (also a season high), giving him his second double-double of the year. Noah will have an opportunity to push for more playing time over the season’s final two months with Marc Gasol having been dealt to Toronto. Ivan Rabb has a hold on the starting center job for now, but if Noah puts together a few more performances that mirror Saturday, he’ll play his way into consideration for being rostered.--Jesse Borek
