2 years agoThe Washington Nationals optioned right-hander Joan Adon to Triple-A Rochester on Sunday. The move was made to clear a roster spot for fellow right-hander Hunter Harvey (forearm), who was activated from the 60-day injured list. Adon has been part of the Nationals' starting rotation all year despite struggling immensely to deliver solid innings. Over 14 starts, he has gone 1-12 with a 7.10 ERA and a 1.78 WHIP. His next start was scheduled for Wednesday against the Seattle Mariners. He could conceivably be called back up to make that start, but the Nationals haven't released their intentions for Wednesday's game or the plan for Adon going forward.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
