Joaquin Niemann Set To Make Third Start At Shriners
4 years agoJoaquin Niemann will make his second start of the season after coming off a T23 finish at the U.S. Open. He will make his third start at Shriners, where he missed the cut last season and finished in a tie for 10th place in 2019. The 21-year-old had a strong 2020 season, qualifying for his first Tour championship. Niemann had some impressive stats at the U.S. Open, ranking 10th in the field in driving distance and sixth in the field in strokes gained in putting. A hot putting stroke is what wins tournaments, so he will have a legitimate shot at winning this week if he can carry over the momentum from Winged Foot. It is a competitive field, so he has a fair DFS price of $8,100.
