3 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (concussion, face, thumb) is currently listed as out on the league's official injury report heading into Friday's playoff matchup versus Miami. Yet, if the superstar clears protocol before Game 3, there's a chance his designation could change. Embiid suffered a concussion and a fractured orbital bone during Game 6 of the first-round series against Toronto and hasn't seen the floor since. However, even if the big man can return, he may not receive his usual allotment of minutes. He'll likely also be wearing a protective face covering, which may impair his vision to some degree. Lastly, DFS managers shouldn't forget about the torn ligament in his right thumb, which could limit his effectiveness even more. Nonetheless, Doc Rivers will take the "wait and see" approach regarding Embiid's availability. Yet, if he can't play, it will likely continue to be DeAndre Jordan and Paul Reed benefiting the most, although both men should be considered risky options in all daily formats.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
