7 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid had been out of action since leaving Philadelphia's March 28 win over the Knicks with a broken bone in his face, but he returned to the floor on Thursday to help lead the 76ers to a 20-point victory over the Miami Heat in the first round of the NBA playoffs. Embiid scored a team-high 23 points on 5-for-11 shooting, including a 3-for-4 mark from long range, in the win. He also grabbed seven rebounds and passed for four assists. With Miami center Hassan Whiteside barely seeing the floor in this series, the Heat don't have a way to slow down Embiid, who should put up strong numbers again in Game 4.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
