3 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid may have scuffled from the field to the tune of 9-for-28 shooting during Sunday's win over the Magic, but that didn't impede him from another MVP-like performance: 35 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists, two made threes, and two blocks in 41 minutes of action. Embiid has now reeled off a double-double in four straight contests, having snagged at least nine boards in each of his last 22 outings. Embiid, who holds a .1 of a point lead over LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo for the league's scoring title entering play Monday, has not had his offensive upside impeded by James Harden's arrival in the slightest. He will be playing on the second leg of a back-to-back Monday vs. Denver, having averaged 27.3 points and 11.3 rebounds in such scenarios this season.--Jesse Borek
