5 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid may not have put together an eye-popping outing during Sunday’s victory over the Charlotte Hornets, but he did play 29 efficient minutes of basketball. Embiid finished with 18 points, nine rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks to pace his club. This outing came on the heels of an eight-turnover performance that saw him foul out Friday. The big man has been asked to carry a heavier offensive load without Ben Simmons in the mix due to injury, although it hasn’t appeared to affect his stat line all that much. He’ll square off with Cleveland at home Tuesday, where he has logged three consecutive double-doubles when the Cavs make the journey into Philly.--Jesse Borek
