Joel Embiid Packs Stat Sheet In Dominant 32-Point Outing
3 years agoFollowing Friday's win over Dallas, Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid sits firmly in pole position to not only potentially win the league's scoring title (30 points per game), but its MVP Award as well. Embiid, the league's leading scorer, went for 32 points on 11-for-20 shooting, giving him an average of 34.3 points over his last six games. He added eight rebounds, four assists and two made threes, but his career-high-tying five steals jumped off the page. Looming is a matchup Sunday against the Raptors, who have had Embiid's number in years past, even if a 36-point outing Dec. 28 may have quelled that momentum. For his career, the 20.7 points per game that he averages against Toronto is his second-lowest mark against any team in the league.
