5 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid managed to rack up 21 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and two blocks in a win over the Wizards. Given the MVP-type standards Embiid set for himself before the season, his production has been a bit of a disappointment. His minutes and shot attempts per game are down, leading to a drop in points, rebounds, assists and blocks per game. This is no doubt a concerted effort on the part of Philly to keep their star big man as fresh as possible for their inevitable playoff run. Still, for those who invested a lot in Embiid, the conservation of his superstar talent has to be a bit frustrating, even considering how it hasn't kept him off the DNP list several times this season.--Daniel Lubofsky - RotoBaller
