5 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid filled up the box score on Wednesday, but his club still managed a two-point loss to the Jazz. Embiid scored 27 points with 16 rebounds to go along with three assists and two blocks in 36 minutes of action. Embiid did struggle to connect from the floor as he made just five of 16 shots, but that can easily be due to the stellar defense of Rudy Gobert. Embiid will look to take advantage of the struggling Nikola Jokic on Friday when the 76ers face the Nuggets, which could see Embiid get some extra touches with Ben Simmons (shoulder) expected to sit that one out.--Gianni Costantiello
