3 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) will not require surgery heading into the regular season in October. The MVP favorite suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee during the Sixers postseason matchup with the Wizards. However, president of basketball operations, Daryl Morey, reported that Embiid has been in the gym recently while also adding that he's "not concerned about him medically at all." The 27-year-old averaged a career-high 28.5 points during the 2020-21 campaign.
