3 years agoSan Francisco Giants catcher Joey Bart was recalled from Triple-A by the team on Saturday. The catching prospect takes the place of right-handed pitcher Logan Webb, who was optioned to Triple-A. Bart could be a candidate to see extended time behind the plate with Buster Posey currently on the injured list due to a left thumb contusion. The 24-year-old hit .338 with a .400 on-base percentage and eight home runs in 150 plate appearances for San Francisco's Triple-A affiliate this season. He's someone to keep an eye on in deeper leagues if he can earn the majority of the starts at catcher while Posey is sidelined. Bart is going right into the starting lineup, as he'll catch and bat seventh for the Giants against Washington Nationals left-handed starter Jon Lester on Saturday.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
