6 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Joey Gallo continued his strong August performance Thursday night. Gallo had two hits, including a home run, as he scored two runs and drove in two. In the month of August, Gallo is now hitting over .300 with five home runs, 10 runs and 12 RBI. His season average is still a lowly .203 but for fantasy owners this is encouraging. With 31 home runs already on the board this season, Gallo should reach 40 and could even get to 50 if he continues hitting at this pace. Gallo could be a useful contributor down the stretch of fantasy seasons. However, he is notoriously inconsistent at the plate so it also makes sense for fantasy owners to sell high on him, if it means they can get back useful pieces at other positions.--Ben Rolfe
