6 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Joey Gallo (ankle) will not be in the lineup on Monday. Gallo left the game with a sprained ankle Sunday, but was not in a walking boot and felt that he could play Monday. However, the Rangers have decided not to risk further injury for Gallo by giving him the day off Monday, The fact that there has been no talk of a move to the disabled list means this is likely just a day-to-day situation. It is likely that Gallo will find himself back in the lineup Monday, and in weekly formats he should still be a hitter that you can use this week. However, with the low floor that his average provides, it may make sense to bench Gallo this week as leg injuries can often make it harder for power hitters.--Ben Rolfe
