Johnny Cueto Heading To Injured List With Lat Strain
4 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Johnny Cueto (lat) is heading to the 10-day injured list with a Grade 1 lat strain. The move will be made on Friday. Cueto was experiencing lat tightness during his outing against the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday. He left the start in the sixth inning. Logan Webb, who was just moved to the bullpen after Alex Wood joined the team, is likely heading back into the rotation while Cueto is out. Cueto is off to a strong start to the 2021 season with a 1.80 ERA and 0.85 WHIP through three starts and 20 innings. Fantasy managers in deep leagues and NL-only leagues should hold him in an IL spot through his injury at least up until we get an idea of how long he should be out.
