3 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans center Jonas Valanciunas couldn't save his team from a 120-114 overtime loss against Denver on Wednesday, but he personally had a great game with a team-high 27 points on 12-for-21 shooting and 11 rebounds. He also notched three assists with three rebounds and three turnovers in 39 minutes. Valanciunas finally got back on track from downtown as well, shooting 1-for-2 after going 0-for-7 in his first three December outings. He's surprisingly been one of the better three-point shooters in the league this season, hitting over 46 percent from deep. Valanciunas will be back on the court Friday night against a Detroit team that's allowing opponents to shoot 38.1 percent from deep, so all Pelicans sharpshooters find themselves in a great spot to perform.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
