7 years agoToronto Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas put up good counting stats but struggled shooting in Game 5 against the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night. Valanciunas scored 14 points, going 5-for-13 from the field and 4-for-4 from the free throw line. In addition to Valanciunas' scoring output, he had 13 boards and two blocks. Valanciunas has been shooting 61.4 percent from the field in the series, and that includes Wednesday's contest where Valanciunas didn't have his best performance. The main culprit for Valanciunas' solid playoff performances is the defense of Wizards center Marcin Gortat, who is primarily defending JV. Gortat has a 113.6 defensive rating, which is the third worst on the Wizards. Next up is Game 6, which will be Friday night in Washington.--Matt Sparkington - RotoBaller
