3 years agoUtah Jazz shooting guard Jordan Clarkson stepped up in the absence of Donovan Mitchell (back), compiling a game-high 23 points during Monday's victory over the Spurs. Clarkson continues to percolate from the field when facing San Antonio, having gone for at least 21 points in each of his last three regular-season meetings against the club. Finishing 9-for-21 from the field overall -- including 2-for-7 from behind the arc -- Clarkson tied his season high with eight rebounds, in addition to five assists. It marked the first time since Nov. 24 that the Sixth Man of the Year candidate led his club in scoring, a role that he could reprise Wednesday vs. Portland if Mitchell is not cleared in time to return.--Jesse Borek
