3 years agoToronto Blue Jays closer Jordan Romano returned to action on Friday after being out for the majority of the past week with an illness. He pitched a clean ninth inning in the team's 2-1 victory over the Cincinnati Reds to earn his 13th save of the year. He retired each of the three batters he faced and needed just 10 pitches to lock up the team's 21st victory of the year. Romano's 13 saves on the season have him ranked third in the majors behind only Taylor Rogers (15) and Josh Hader (14). The 29-year-old has a 2.87 ERA and a 1.15 WHIP over 17 total appearances on the year.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
