Jordan Spieth Under The Weather Ahead Of U.S. Open
2 years agoJordan Spieth was said to have left the range Wednesday afternoon with an illness. If Spieth plays, he appears to have the recipe for a strong U.S. Open this week. Over the last 24 rounds, Spieth ranks fifth in ball-striking, first in strokes gained around the green, and 15th on approach. Spieth ended his nine event run gaining strokes on approach at The Memorial. However, he did gain 5 strokes putting, his most since St. Jude last year. Putting will be crucial this week on these small and slippery surfaces. If Spieth continues his ball-striking and he is comfortable with the putter, he should find himself in with a shot to win on Sunday.
