Jordan Yamamoto Notches Another Win
6 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Jordan Yamamoto had another solid outing in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Philadelphia Phillies. The 23-year-old gave up two hits and two earned runs over five innings, improving his record to 3-0 in just his third start of his career. He struck out seven Phillies but also walked four in the contest. Yamamoto posted back-to-back seven-inning shutouts against the Cardinals in his first two starts and looks to be quickly solidifying a spot in the Marlins rotation. He's holding a 0.95 ERA, 0.79 WHIP, and 19/8 K/BB ratio over 19 innings pitched for the season. He's absolutely worthy of a speculative add in 12+ team leagues and will take on these same Phillies in his next scheduled start on June 29.
