6 years agoThe Detroit Tigers have activated starting pitcher Jordan Zimmermann (shoulder) from the 10-day disabled list and sent pitcher Artie Lewicki to Triple-A in a corresponding move. Zimmermann had been out since May 7 due to a right shoulder impingement and will return to a 4.88 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and a 32/9 K/BB ratio over 31 1/3 innings for Saturday's start against the White Sox. Zimmermann doesn't have the most exciting fantasy profile but has the ability to contribute marginally if given the right matchup. The White Sox would normally qualify as such, but it is always wise to exercise caution when evaluating a pitcher's chances in his first start off the disabled list.
