Jordan Zimmermann Has Mixed Results in First Start off DL
7 years agoJordan Zimmermann made his first start since being placed on the disabled list on May 7th due to a right shoulder impingement. Facing the White Sox on Saturday afternoon, Zimmermann was perfect through four innings before allowing four earned runs on four hits in the fifth. He finished five innings and struck out four, but fantasy owners and the Tigers have to feel let down after Zimmerman looked so promising to start the game. Zimmermann holds a 5.20 ERA and 1.35 WHIP on the season, and is not a preferred starting pitcher option in most leagues due to his inconsistency and lack of strikeout upside.
