7 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Jordan Zimmermann (shoulder) will try to throw a bullpen session later on this week. Manager Ron Gardenhire remains optimistic about his return, indicating that he has Zimmermann slotted into their rotation down the road, but he remains doubtful to take the mound during this turn in the starting rotation. Zimmermann was solid his last several starts before his injury, but he's still best used as a streamer in favorable matchups in deep mixed and AL-only leagues.--Kyle Ringstad - RotoBaller
